Getty Digital, Library & Archival Systems Graduate Internship

Description

The intern in Getty Digital, Library & Archival Systems will gain hands-on experience in the areas of library and archival systems librarianship, an area of work integral to supporting the Getty Research Institute’s mission to cultivate advanced knowledge of art and its varied histories. The primary responsibilities for this internship include performing service design analysis on key workflows in the library or archives, developing recommendations to update systems configurations, integrations and/or workflows, and implementing change in partnership with programs. They will have other projects assigned according to the intern’s particular skills and interests. They will also get experience administering Alma, Primo, ArchivesSpace, and LibApps – all of which are systems widely used by academic and research libraries in the United States.

This one-year paid internship begins in September 2027 and is ideal for current graduate students working on degrees specializing in libraries and/or archives OR recent grads working in the field who received their degree on or after January 1, 2024, and are looking to gain experience in systems librarianship.
